Important Vocabulary for Describing Geometric Solids
FACE : A face is the surface of a 3-D object. The faces of a 3-D object are made up of 2-D shapes. They are the "flat" sides of the object.
For example, a square-based pyramid has 5 faces (4 triangles and 1 square). Prism

EDGE: The edges are formed where the faces meet and intersect.

VERTICES: The vertices are formed where the edges meet and intersect. The common term is "Corner", but this in NOT the mathematical term.
